LiveArea Work Earns Four Honoree Selections in 2015 Webby Awards

We are delighted to announce that the work of LiveArea has been recognized as Official Honorees in the 19th Annual Webby Awards. Out of nearly 13,000 entries, several sites we created, including those for Smith Optics and ourselves, have been selected for their exceptional quality by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS).

Our work received four total Honoree selections across the Best Visual Design, Shopping, and Professional Services categories. SmithOptics.com, with its crisp design, mix of product and culture, and intuitive shopping, was honored in the Shopping category. Elegant and fluid, our own LiveAreaLabs.com was honored in the Professional Services category.

Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. IADAS, which nominates and selects The Webby Award Winners, is comprised of web industry experts, including Tumblr founder, David Karp, Grantland’s Bill Simmons, Lucky Magazine’s Editor-in-chief, Eva Chen, Instagram co-founder, Kevin Systrom, mobile phone inventor Martin Cooper, and creator of the .gif file format, Steve Wilhite.
